FAITH PLEASES GOD

Hebrews 11:6 But WITHOUT FAITHit isIMPOSSIBLEtoPLEASE HIM: for he that cometh to God mustbelievethat He is [awareness], and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

WHAT IS FAITH ?

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the SUBSTANCE of things hoped for, the EVIDENCE of things not seen.

FAITH WITHOUT WORK IS DEAD

James 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath [present, active] not works, is dead [worthless, Useless], being alone.

Hebrews 11:4 By faith Abel OFFERED[Aorist Act, Ind] unto God a more EXCELLENT [better]SACRIFICE than Cain, by which he obtained witness [Aorist Pass, Ind] that he was righteous,[Justified] God testifying [Present tense] of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

SACRIFICE WILL COST

2 Samuel 24:24 Then the king said to Araunah, "No, but I will surely buy it from you for a price; nor will I offer burnt offerings to the LORD my God withTHAT WHICH COSTS ME NOTHING." So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.

ABEL OFFERED THE FIRST AND THE BEST

Genesis 4:3-5 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the [cursed]ground an offering unto the LORD. 4 And Abel, he also brought of the FIRSTLINGS[First born] of his flock and of the FAT [best, Finest] thereof. And the LORD had respect [regard] unto Abel and to his offering: 5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

ISRAEL SACRIFICED CORRUPT THINGS

Malachi 1:7-8,13,14 Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar; and ye say, Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of the LORD is contemptible. 8 And if ye offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? and if ye offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? offer it now unto thy governor; will he be pleased with thee, or accept thy person? saith the LORD of hosts.13 Ye said also, Behold, what a weariness is it! and ye have snuffed at it, saith the LORD of hosts; and ye brought that which was torn, and the lame, and the sick; thus ye brought an offering: should I accept this of your hand? saith the LORD. 14 But cursed be the deceiver, which hath in his flock a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth unto the Lord a corrupt thing: for I AM A GREAT KING, saith the LORD of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the heathen.

HONOUR THE LORD WITH THE FIRSTFRUITS

Proverbs 3:9 Honour the LORD with thy substance [ wealth, riches], and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:[produce, crop, gain]

PUT HIM FIRST

Luke 14:26-27 If any man come to me, and hate [Prefer's less] not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. 27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. 33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

FIRST COMMANDMENT

Mark 12:33 And to LOVE HIM with all the heart, and with all the understanding [mind,Knowledge], and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.

FIRST OBEDIENCE THEN SACRIFICE

1 Samuel 15:22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

SACRIFICIAL BUT NO OBEDIENCE

Ezekiel 33:31 And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, BUT THEY WILL NOT DO THEM: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.

SACRIFICE OF FOOLS

Ecclesiastes 5:1 Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil.

SACRIFICE OF THE WICKED

Proverbs 21:3,27 To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice. 27 The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination [not pleasing]: how much more, when he bringeth it with a wicked mind?

SACRIFICE WILL NOT COVER OUR SINS

Proverbs 7:10,14 And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.14 I have peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows.

SACRIFICES OF CONFESSION AND REPENTANCE

Psalm 51:16 For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering. 17 The sacrifices of God are a BROKEN SPIRIT: a broken and a CONTRITE HEART, O God, thou wilt not despise.

A SEVERE SELF-SACRIFICE

Mark 9:47-49 And if thine eye offend [cause you to stumble] thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: 48 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. 49 For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.

SACRIFICES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

Psalms 4:5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.

SACRIFICE OF THE GENTILES

1 Corinthians 10:20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.

AS HOLY PRIEST OFFER SPIRITUAL SACRIFICES

1 Peter 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

THE FIRST SACRIFICE

2 Corinthians 8:5 And this they did, not as we hoped, but FIRST gave their OWN SELVES to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.

A LIVING, HOLY AND WELL PLEASING SACRIFICE

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye PRESENT YOUR BODIES a LIVING SACRIFICE, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

SACRIFICE OF PRAISE

Hebrews 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

SACRIFICES OF THANKSGIVING

Psalms 107:21-22 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! 22 And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.

DOING GOOD AND COMMUNICATING

Hebrews 13:16 But to do good and to communicate [share] forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

Proverbs 19:17 He who has pity on the poor lends to the LORD, And He[Lord] will pay back what he has given.

SACRIFICES WILL NOT GO WASTE

Mark 14:4,6 And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made? 6 And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me.

SACRIFICES WILL BE REWARDED

Matthew 19:27-29 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore? 28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit ~~everlasting~~ agelasting life.
